THE SWEET THINKING IN THE DIGITAL AGE

(Exhibited at “Sostenere il Futuro”, Second Scuderie of Castello Sforzesco, Vigevano – part of the 10th Festival of Transformations)

The Sweet Thinking in the Digital Age is a composite artwork that moves between digital image and painting, between the immediacy of technology and the slowness of manual gesture.
It was conceived within the framework of “Sostenere il Futuro”, a group exhibition reflecting on sustainability — not only environmental, but intellectual and emotional.

In this context, the work proposes a reflection on cultural sustainability in the digital era: the ability to preserve attention, empathy, and imagination amid constant technological acceleration.
The process begins with a freehand drawing, later digitized and reinterpreted through layers of light, color, and contrast. The final oil painting reintroduces materiality, time, and contemplation, bridging the distance between hand and machine.

Here, sweetness stands as a form of resistance — a slow, mindful way of thinking that restores depth to perception.
In both its digital and physical forms, the work seeks a balance where thinking itself becomes a sustainable act, capable of reconnecting sensibility and technology.
